2024 Campaign Journalism Conference
Covering campaigns has become increasingly complicated. Polling breakdowns, a shift in how people vote, the rise in distrust of election results and a reshaping of the electorate have combined to make it so.
With races for control of Congress and the White House and statehouses on the horizon, the nonpartisan University of Chicago Institute of Politics (IOP) and the Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard will convene an intensive two-day boot camp to equip journalists with practical tools to cover increasingly more complex local and national elections.
Campaign Journalism Conference 2024 will bring together 150 journalists, political consultants and academics from across the U.S. to learn the practical skills necessary to help journalists at small, medium and large outlets effectively cover political campaigns.
